The 2014 Mercedes ML350 has a dual battery system - one for starting the car and another for powering the internal electronics when the engine is not running. The primary battery is positioned beneath the front passenger seat, requiring the seat to be moved forward and the plastic vent cover below it to be removed for access. If it is the first time being serviced, cutting through the carpet may be necessary to reach the battery. The secondary battery can be found in the cargo area behind the plastic panel on the passenger side of the vehicle, necessitating the removal of the spare tire, surrounding paneling, and the plastic runner nearest to the rear bumper for access.
