The blend door actuator in a 2011 Toyota Camry is located on the passenger's side under the dashboard HVAC console. It is a small electric motor with sensors that are part of the car's climate control system. When you adjust the temperature or airflow, signals are sent through the actuator. You may notice symptoms of a faulty blend door actuator such as hearing ticking noises from the dashboard when starting the car, or experiencing cold air from the heater and hot air from the AC. A common issue is the plastic gears becoming fragile and breaking, causing the actuator to malfunction.
