The Ford Edge's block heater cord is located inside the engine compartment, situated on the left underneath the cross member within a black box. Various engine issues may arise, such as a spark plug coming loose, leading to engine problems, or a loose gasket that requires immediate tightening. It's crucial to address oil leaks promptly and be aware of the potential danger of engine overheating, which could result in fires or even an explosion. Excessive oil consumption may necessitate more frequent oil changes, while coolant should be replaced every 60,000 miles. Additionally, the air filter should be changed every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, and spark plugs need to be replaced every 100,000 miles unless they are copper, which should be replaced every 30,000 miles.

On my 2019 Edge, there is a designated spot for the heater block plug. You can find a round cover underneath the driver side's license plate that can be flipped open to access it.
