In the 2016 MINI Cooper, the brake fluid reservoir can be found on the right side of the engine compartment with a cap labeled "brake". This container will be marked on the outside, and possibly inside as well, with a top mark indicating full and a bottom mark indicating low. To ensure an accurate reading, drive the vehicle around the block or start it and move it forward and backward while pressing the brakes multiple times to fill the braking system. After this, park on a level surface so that you can accurately check the brake fluid level, similar to the process of checking engine oil. When you have found a suitable flat area, open the hood of your car.
