The 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier and earlier models up to 1995 do not have a cabin air filter like newer vehicles. Instead of a cabin air filter, it has a plastic mesh to keep debris out of the HVAC system. Unlike a cabin air filter that needs regular replacement every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, this mesh does not require replacement. If a cabin air filter were present, it would likely be located behind the passenger glove box or near the windshield in the engine area. It's important to note that while the vehicle lacks a cabin air filter, it does have a standard air filter which is responsible for cleaning the air passing through the engine.
