In the 2009 Chevy Silverado, the cabin filter can be found underneath the glove box inside the cab. It's important to keep the air conditioner running well to avoid feeling uncomfortable with sweat. Over time, issues may arise with this component, such as a faulty motor, inaccurate thermostat, smelly odors from the vents, a loose fan, or a Freon leak causing perspiration. Annoying noises or loose mounting bolts can also be problems, while a noisy compressor due to excessive Freon must be addressed promptly to avoid frustration.

I have a 2009 Silverado and there isn't a cabin filter located below the dashboard. Instead, there is a small plastic screen that serves the same purpose. And that's all there is to it.

There isn't a pre-existing setup for this, but you can create one yourself. They offer a kit for it. You'll need to cut a piece of plastic, which can be either straightforward or challenging. You'll have to purchase the filter and a cover to seal the hole you'll make. Best of luck. It's puzzling why Chevy didn't include this, but you can purchase the cover separately for around $25, including on Amazon.

In a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado, the cabin air filter is situated on the passenger side of the vehicle inside the cabin, below the glove compartment.

I searched diligently for a 2009 Chevy Silverado 5.3 FlexFuel, but could not find any. I also spent money on a filter to install, but found only a small one above the blower motor, which was disappointing.
