In the 2006 Ford Freestyle, there are two cam sensors positioned on the front right and front left cylinder heads. Engine problems can arise, such as a spark plug coming loose, which can cause issues. Loose gaskets should be tightened to prevent further complications. Overheating is a serious concern that may result in potential car fires and explosions. Regular maintenance is key, including timely oil changes for excessive oil consumption, replacing the air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, changing the coolant every 60,000 miles, and swapping out spark plugs every 100,000 miles unless using a copper plug, in which case it should be replaced every 30,000 miles.

I drive a 2006 freestyle, but I've only been able to find one cam sensor on the front right side. I haven't been able to locate one for the left side yet. I did, however, easily find the crank sensor, which happens to be the same type as the cam sensor.
