The camshaft position sensor for Bank 2 in the INFINITIM35 is positioned at the rear and on the passenger side of the engine beneath the intake snorkel, mass air flow sensor, and intake box. To access the sensor, you will need to remove these components. A 10mm socket is usually all that is required for the task. Over time, the sensor can get damaged or malfunction due to the accumulation of condensation, especially if the vehicle is not regularly driven. The sensor collects data that determines the amount of fuel and air required for combustion and ignition in the engine. If the sensor provides inaccurate information, it can lead to impaired driving experiences such as reduced fuel efficiency, rough idling, stalling, "stumbling," or sluggish acceleration. If warning lights come on, it is recommended to visit a repair shop. Replacing the camshaft position sensor can typically cost between $200 to $250 for parts and labor.
