The 2002 Mitsubishi Eclipse 3.0 liter has a camshaft position sensor that is positioned under the front of the car. It's quite easy to find. To locate it, start by opening the hood and propping it up with the arm on the left side of the engine bay. Then, check the rear section of the cylinder head next to the engine block. You'll find the sensor inside the lift valley there. This sensor is handy as it detects the camshaft's position for you, but if it malfunctions, you'll need to get it replaced. The cost of a new sensor typically ranges from $30 to $138.
