The camshaft position sensor in the 2004 Acura TL can be found near the top of the engine, inside the valve cover, close to the timing cover and behind the timing belt. It may be a bit challenging to reach, but once you access it, swapping it out is relatively straightforward. There is a lone bolt securing it in place, and you'll need to disconnect the lead from the engine wiring harness. You can purchase a compatible aftermarket replacement, such as the Duralast brand SU4111, at Autozone for approximately $145. If you suspect that your CMP is failing due to symptoms like rough idling, frequent stalling, decreased engine power, and lower gas mileage, you may want to consider replacing it even if you haven't received a diagnostic trouble code (DTC) with a check engine light (CEL) yet.
