The camshaft position sensor on a 2006 Ford 500 is easily located by following these steps yourself. It should only take 2 to 5 minutes of your time. Begin by going to the front of your vehicle and securely propping open the hood using the arm on the left side of the engine bay. Look inside the engine bay towards the engine block, where you will see a black valve cover on top. Lift the cover to find the sensor underneath, closer to the driver's side. If the sensor needs to be replaced, the cost can range from $5 to $53.

None of these responses are correct. The sensor is located on the front passenger side of the cylinder head, just beneath the valve cover. You must remove a plastic wire harness cover to access it.
