To find the camshaft position sensor location on the Chevy Silverado, check out this video: https://www.Youtube.com/watch?v=nUI4cDAlDJ0. Several issues may arise with the engine, such as a spark plug popping off, resulting in engine problems, or a loose gasket that needs tightening. Overheating of the engine is a serious concern as it could lead to car fires and explosions. Excessive oil consumption may indicate the need for a quick oil change. Ensure you replace the air filter every 15,000 to 30,000 miles, the coolant every 60,000 miles, and the spark plugs approximately every 100,000 miles, unless using copper spark plugs which should be changed every 30,000 miles.

The camshaft position sensor, also known as the CMP sensor, can be found on the right side of the engine compartment towards the rear of the valve cover, close to the intake manifold in your Chevy Silverado truck.

I think the thermostat is located in the front of the engine, above the water pump and near the radiator hose.
