The vent valve in the 2011 Chevy Cruze works along with the EVAP system to regulate the air flow in and out of the canister and emissions control setup. It can be found on the EVAP canister located beneath the passenger side of the Cruze, towards the back and center of the frame, next to the gas tank. The EVAP is distinguishable by its black honeycomb appearance. A common issue with vent valves is the build-up of debris over time, which can lead to difficulties in refueling the tank. Repair options typically involve cleaning or replacing the valve. Another problem is when the valve gets stuck open, causing the "check engine" light to turn on.
