The Ford Transit's power door locks are regulated by fuses, electrical connections, and two modules. If your Transit's doors are not responding to locking or unlocking commands, check Fuse #78 for central locking to ensure it is working properly. To test the central locking "receiver," find the front interior light and detach the receiver from the ceiling of the Transit. It will be attached with Velcro and should show a red light when you press the key fob. The central locking "module" is actually the van's BCM, situated under the dashboard behind the glovebox and fuse box on the passenger's side of the cabin. Replacing the BCM in a Transit typically costs between $500 and $550 for both parts and labor.

Hey Eric, the spot you're looking for is actually a bit further over than you might think. Mine was about 6 inches towards the side where the driver sits. Karl, make sure you remove the plastic covering on the receiver to check for any red light.
