The DPFE sensor in the 2008 Ford F-150 4.6 is a key component of the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) system. It keeps a check on the pressure in the EGR valve to prevent any malfunction that could lead to an excessive amount of exhaust entering the intake manifold at once. Locating and accessing the DPFE sensor for diagnostics or replacement might be necessary. It can be found to the left of the brake booster, near the firewall, sandwiched between the engine and the firewall. It may be a bit tricky to reach, but it should be feasible to remove without needing to disturb the engine too much.

In a 2008 Ford F-150, the DPFE valve can be found close to the EGR valve, positioned at the rear of the upper intake manifold, between the firewall and the engine.
