The fuel filter on the 2009 Toyota Corolla is integrated with the fuel pump. Typically, the fuel pump is located underneath the vehicle, connected to the fuel rail. Accessing it is simple as it's secured in place by a couple of easily removable bolts. The replacement cost can range from $200 to $800 on average. In certain instances, both the filter and pump are internal components of the gas tank. In such a scenario, a new gas tank may be required to replace the pump, but external access allows for installing a new filter. The prices for this are similar, possibly a bit higher than just replacing the pump. If the pump is malfunctioning, you may experience difficulty accelerating due to insufficient fuel delivery. In severe cases, the car may not start at all.
