The 2010 Kia Soul still has the fuel filter located outside the gas tank, so you can easily replace it. To start, jack up your Kia and secure it, then open the gas door and remove the gas cap to release the pressure. The fuel filter is situated in front of the tank, next to the exhaust pipe. It's secured with 3/8 hex bolts, so use a ratchet to remove them and disconnect the fuel lines by pressing the retaining clips. Be prepared for some gas spillage, so have rags and a container handy. Once the old fuel filter is out, replace it with a new one and reverse the steps to finish the installation.
