The fuel pump relay on the Audi A3 can be found in the fuse box, which is located to the left of the steering wheel. Look for a small seam or crack along the dashboard and use a screwdriver or prybar to pop it open. Inside, you will see a variety of fuses. The back of the panel you opened will have a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If the information is not found there, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. To identify the fuse you need, simply remove it. A good fuse will have a thin strip of metal connecting the two protrusions. If this strip is broken, the fuse is bad and should be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still functioning and can be reinserted. Replacing a fuse typically costs around $10, making it an affordable fix.
