The 2009 Nissan Rogue's fuel pump relay can be found near the battery on the driver's side of the engine. If the relay is defective, it can prevent the engine from running by interrupting the fuel supply. Various indicators of a faulty fuel pump relay include a loss of power, difficulty starting the engine, lack of typical pump noise, and the possibility of the vehicle catching fire. Should the relay fail while the vehicle is in operation, it will cut off power to the fuel pump, leading to engine stalling. If the relay is partially malfunctioning, the vehicle may be able to restart shortly after, but if it completely fails, restarting the vehicle will not be possible.
