The fuel pump relay for a 2007 VW Passat can be found in the fuse box under the hood. To access the fuse box, raise and secure the hood of the car. Located on the right side of the engine compartment, there will be a black box with a visible seam around it. Opening this box will reveal the fuse inside. The back of the box lid will typically have a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If not, the information can also be found in the car's owner's manual. Once you identify the correct fuse, remove it from the box. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections of the fuse is intact; if it's broken, the fuse needs to be replaced. A new fuse will cost around $10, making it an affordable solution.
