In the 2000 Jaguar XJ8, there are a total of four fuse panels. Inside the car's passenger area, there are two additional fuse panels - one to the right of the passenger behind a removable trim piece, and another in the same spot on the driver's side. These panels control features such as the radio and cigarette lighter. The remaining two fuse boxes are located in the engine compartment, with one on the left and one on the right. They handle heavier fuses and relays and are easy to locate as they are black boxes with labels under their caps.

I'm not sure what others are talking about in terms of the topic. If you have a left-hand drive car, there are two fuse boxes under the hood - one on the driver's side towards the front and one by the battery in the trunk. Additionally, there are fuse boxes on each side behind the rear passenger kick plates. To access them, pull on the tops of the carpet and then tilt towards the front using the pivot point on the bottom closest to the door. Be careful not to just pull on the bottom as you might break the plastic tab. There are also fuse boxes located under the steering wheel and on the front passenger side under the dashboard. You can also find relays scattered throughout the vehicle, including in the fuse boxes. Check under the front seats for more relays as well. Don't forget to look under the rear passenger seats as these fuse boxes are often overlooked.

I own a 2000 XJ8 with the main fuse box located in the trunk. Unfortunately, there are no details indicating which fuses correspond to specific functions. The main issue I am facing involves the rear passenger door on the left side, which is not functioning properly in terms of both the window and central locking system.
