To access the fuse box in your car, check on the left side of the steering wheel for a slight seam or crack on the dashboard. Use a screwdriver or prybar to gently open this panel. Inside, there will be several fuses. On the back of the panel you removed, there should be a diagram indicating the purpose of each fuse. If the diagram is not there, you can refer to the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you identify the fuse you need, simply remove it. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections of the fuse is intact; if it's broken, the fuse is no good and needs to be replaced. If the strip is intact, the fuse is still good and can be reinserted. Replacement fuses are affordable, typically around $10.
