In the Toyota Prius, there are multiple fuse boxes, and the one containing the fuse for the cigarette lighter can be found in the engine compartment. Positioned on the passenger side of the engine compartment near the firewall, it should be identified as fuse number 10 on the top row, which can be confirmed by referring to the diagram on the inside of the fuse box cover. To replace the fuse, you will require a 20-amp fuse. To remove the fuse, simply pull it straight out from its slot. Your fuse box may include a plastic removal tool on the inside cover, or you can use pliers or acquire a removal tool from an auto parts store if needed. If the cigarette lighter still does not function after replacing the fuse, there may be an underlying electrical problem.

The fuse for the Toyota Prius cigarette lighter is housed in the fuse box under the dashboard, situated to the left of the hood release. Specifically, you'll want to check out fuse numbers 23 and 29, as these are the ones that control this particular accessory.

In the case of a Gen 2 (2004-2009) Toyota Prius, you can find the fuse box under the dashboard on the driver's side, containing fuses labeled as #12 (25A), #23 (15A), and #29 (15A). When discussing Prius vehicles, always mention the specific generation to avoid confusion.
