In the 2004 Chevy Impala, the fuse responsible for the tail lights can be found in the fuse panel located in the driver's footwell area. If you notice that your tail lights are not functioning, the first step is to inspect the fuse to ensure it is undamaged. If the fuse is okay, the next thing to check is the wiring connected to the tail light bulb. If the wiring is loose, the lights will not work. Assuming the wiring is intact, the probable issue is a burnt-out bulb. In this case, you will need to replace the bulb with a new one to restore functionality.
