The 2015-2020 Honda Civic models do not have an interior fuel door release button. Instead, you can access the gas tank on the driver's side, next to the passenger's door. To open it, press the right side of the door and release the latch. The Honda Accord uses 12.4 gallons of regular, unleaded fuel with an octane rating of 87. Its capless tank opening operates through a spring-loaded mechanism, which automatically opens and closes the filler neck when the pump is inserted or removed. The 2019 Honda Civic is designed for fuel efficiency and can achieve up to 32 miles per gallon in the city and 42 mpg on the highway.

In the 2019 Honda Civic, the gas tank button, which is more like a release handle, is located on the left side of the driver's seat near the floor. To pop open the fuel door, simply press down on the lever.
