The Ford Transit Connect heater control valve is located near the firewall in the rear of the engine bay. It serves as a mechanism composed of a cam and gear assembly to link the temp selector and temperature blend door movements. To replace the control valve, you must first take out the air inlet mode door actuator situated at the back of the firewall. The price for a new valve can vary from around $50 to $75, depending on whether it's an aftermarket or OEM part. Common signs of a faulty control valve include a lack of heat when the heater is running, a leaking heater core, or issues with overheating.

I own a 2003 Ford Connect and my heater isn't blowing out warm air. I'm looking to replace the heating control valve, but I'm not sure of its location. Can anybody help me out?

Is there a possibility of getting a photo showing where the valve is located? The temperature control knob in my Connect is currently stuck on cold, and I believe the cam or gear might be the issue. I had a new clutch put in during late summer and only noticed the problem with the temperature selector now that the weather has cooled down. It seems like something may have been damaged during the clutch replacement.

The valve that controls the heater is located close to the back of the Ford transit van.
