In a 2006 Chevy Silverado, you can locate the jack behind the passenger side seat towards the back of the truck. After folding down the seat back, you'll find the compartment housing the bottle style jack. This jack is there in case you experience a flat tire while driving, as it can lift your truck from the frame rails, allowing you to replace the old wheel with the spare located under the truck bed. If you can't find the jack in its designated spot, it may have been removed at some point and not replaced, even though all trucks should have one in that area.
