The primary fuse box under the hood of the 2003 Acura TL can be found at the rear of the engine compartment on the passenger's side. When located, take off the cover, which might have a diagram showing the fuse layout. Use plastic tweezers made for the task or small needle-nose pliers to remove the fuse. Check the fuse wire for any visible gap or dark/metallic marks, as these indicate a blown fuse that requires replacement. Most local auto parts stores like Advance Auto Parts and Auto Zone stock a variety of fuses, but be sure to select the correct amp and size for the replacement fuse.

The main relay, also known as the fuel pump relay, is not located under the hood. Instead, it can be found in a narrow area near the brake pedal. To reach it more easily, you can take out the lower section of the dashboard beneath the steering wheel. The relay itself measures around 2 inches by 3 inches by 1 3/4 inches and slides into a steel bracket secured by a single 10mm bolt.
