The 2005 Dodge Dakota has its mass air flow sensor located at the front of either the throttle body or the intake manifold. If issues arise with the engine, several problems may occur. Excessive oil consumption may prompt more frequent oil changes. A critical issue could be the engine overheating, potentially leading to fires or an explosion. Loose gaskets should be tightened promptly, and loose spark plugs must be addressed to prevent engine malfunctions. Prompt fixing of oil leaks is essential. Coolant should be replaced every 60,000 miles, while non-copper spark plugs should be changed every 100,000 miles. Copper spark plugs should be replaced every 30,000 miles. The air filter should be swapped out every 15,000 to 30,000 miles.
