Every car made after 1996 comes with an OBD2 system, which stands for "Onboard Diagnostics II." This system allows a compatible scanner to communicate with the car's computer to check for engine and operational issues. The computer generates universal codes that can be read by the scanner once connected to your vehicle. The 2015 Honda Accord has an OBD2 port located in the interior fuse box on the driver's side, to the left of the steering wheel. This port sits under the dash panel above the brake pedal, next to the fuse box. It's worth noting that European vehicles use EOBD codes that are specific to them.
