To change the oil filter on your 2013 Volkswagen Jetta 2.5, you will need to locate it underneath the engine block, behind the plastic splashguard. Removing the splashguard requires a T25 TorxBit. For the oil pan drain plug, you'll need a 19mm wrench, and for the oil filter housing, you'll need a 32mm socket. Your Jetta requires 7 US quarts of SAE 5W-40 synthetic oil. You can also opt for aftermarket oil filters like the BOSCH L3581 and WIX57187 for replacement.
