If you own a Chevy Traverse, you should regularly check and change the oil filter, ideally every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. To start, you'll need to find the oil pan located underneath the reservoir attached to the undercarriage. The reservoir is situated to the left of the transmission on the passenger side of the engine compartment. If the filter seems dirty or blocked, it should be replaced, costing between $12 and $35 for the part itself. If you opt to have a mechanic do the job, expect to pay an extra $25 to $87 for labor.
In the middle of nowhere is where it is located.
In a Chevy Traverse, you can find the oil filter positioned near the oil pan.
