The 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 3.6l oil pressure sensor can be found at the back of the engine block near the transmission. It's responsible for monitoring the oil pressure and sending that data to the dashboard. A malfunctioning sensor might trigger the oil pressure light and could lead to incorrect readings on the gauge. In some cases, a faulty sensor might cause the low oil light on the dashboard to flash.

Describing it as being "near the tranny" doesn't provide much useful information. There are approximately 150 million sensors scattered everywhere. Can you give a more specific location? Is it close to the oil filter, similar to the 5.7 engine? Is it located at the top, middle, or bottom of the engine block?
