The oil pressure sensor location for the Ford Ranger 2.3 (specifically for recent models) is situated in the engine block behind the right side of the passenger's cylinder head. If you get under the vehicle from that side after lifting it with a jack, you'll have a better view of the sensor through the wheel well on the passenger side. It will have a single wire attached to it that is colored green and white. It is a relatively inexpensive component to replace: You can purchase the Duralast Oil Pressure Switch, P5407, at AutoZone for approximately $15. As you can see, it's a simple screw-in part, so you'll need to unscrew the old one, disconnect the wire, install the new sensor, tighten it securely, and reattach the wire.

Typically, you can find the oil pressure sensor positioned near the rear and upper part of the engine bay, secured onto the engine block with a bolt, and linked to the car's computer/electrical system with an electrical connector.
