The temperature sensor on a Chevy Equinox is located at the front of the engine bay on the radiator support bracket. It detects the air temperature around you. This is important for knowing the outside temperature and for the car's computer to adjust air-to-fuel ratios based on the air density. If the sensor is faulty, you might see incorrect temperature readings on your car's display.
