In the 2011 Ford Explorer, you can locate the power steering fuse in the fuse box to the left of the steering wheel. Look for a tiny seam or crack on the dashboard and use a screwdriver or prybar to open it. Inside, you'll find several fuses and a diagram on the back of the panel to help you identify each one. If the diagram isn't there, you can also consult the vehicle's owner's manual. Once you've determined the needed fuse, remove it. Check if the thin metal strip connecting the two raised sections is intact - if it's broken, the fuse is bad and needs replacement; if it's fine, reinstall the fuse. Replacement fuses can be bought for around $10 each, making them quite affordable.
