In your 2004 Dodge Ram 1500, you can find the power steering pressure switch on the power steering pump in the engine compartment. The pump is situated on the serpentine belt. Identifying the switch is easy as it is the only set of wires from the engine harness that come close to the PS pump. To replace it, you can purchase the Duralast Power Steering Pressure Switch (part number PS534) from AutoZone for $40. This part is a perfect fit for your truck and can be easily installed by removing the old switch and fitting in the new one.
