The Ford Ranger's radiator cap can be found in the front of the engine bay below the hood, usually near the front grill. Instead of opening the radiator cap to check for coolant, look at the coolant reservoir for a level marker indicating if the coolant needs to be topped up. To drain the heater, remove the plug located under the radiator after making sure the car hasn't been running for at least an hour to allow the fluid to cool. Replacing the radiator cap typically costs between $10 and $15 and can be bought at any local auto parts store.

In a Ford Ranger, you'll find the radiator cap positioned on the expansion tank or coolant reservoir, rather than directly on the radiator.
