In the 2004 Jeep Liberty, the speed sensor can be easily located in the engine bay. To find it, first, go to the front of your vehicle. Use the prop arm on the left side of the compartment to secure the hood in an upright position. Then, look to the left of the engine block towards the transmission. You will see the speed sensor on the far right side of the transmission, under the tail shaft. If the sensor is faulty, it will need to be replaced. The cost of a new sensor typically ranges from $12 to $54. If you hire a professional to replace it, expect to pay an additional $40 to $130 for labor.
Is that the one related to the P0501 trouble code - indicating an issue with Vehicle Speed Sensor A's range or performance?
