In a 2007 Acura MDX, the starter motor is located on the driver's side of the engine at the bottom. It is an electric motor meant to turn the engine and start the vehicle. If you notice grinding or clicking sounds coming from the starter, it indicates a problem within it. On the other hand, if there are no sounds at all, it could mean that the battery is dead. If your car doesn't start, the first thing to do is attempt to jump-start it to check if the battery is the issue. If jump-starting doesn't work, it may be due to a faulty starter motor or a fuel delivery problem.
