In order to locate the starter for a 2007 Kia Sportage, you can reference this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0U3FuALcHNU. Over time, this component may lose its functionality, necessitating a replacement. Typically, the battery should be replaced every 50,000 to 60,000 miles, which may require a financial investment, but is essential to keep your vehicle functioning properly. Throughout the lifespan of your car, battery issues may arise, such as complete depletion requiring recharging or replacement, leaks leading to fluid loss, or a cracked case that will need to be repaired. Rapid drainage of the battery may also occur, necessitating repairs.

In 2007, the Sportage comes with a 4-cylinder engine and 2-wheel drive. The starter is located on the driver's side, under the air filter/air box assembly. To access the bottom bolt, you'll need to get underneath the vehicle. You may also reach the top bolt, but if not, you can simply remove the air box assembly to get to it. My 2007 Kia Sportage starter isn't at the back of the engine or under the air box. It's slightly to the left of the center at the front of the vehicle. Now I understand why I couldn't locate it despite all the suggestions.
