In a 2013 Honda Civic, you can find the starter relay in the engine compartment fuse box. To change it, you'll need a 10-millimeter socket, ratchet, and Phillips head screwdriver. First, raise the hood by opening the driver side door and pulling the hood release lever under the kick panel. With the hood open, use your hand to activate the hood release latch between the top of the grill and the bottom of the hood. Then, loosen the negative battery terminal with the 10-millimeter socket, remove it, and set it aside. Next, take off the fuse box cover located on the driver side inside the fender. You'll see two long fuses on the same side, and the one on the right is the one you need to remove. It is secured by two Phillips head screws - unscrew them, lift the fuse straight out, and remove it.
