In the 2006 Toyota Corolla, the location of the tail light relay can be found inside the fuse box, which is situated to the left of the steering wheel. To access the fuse box, look for a small seam or crack along the dashboard, and then gently pry it open using a screwdriver or a prybar. Inside the fuse box, you will see multiple fuses. The back panel of the fuse box usually contains a diagram that indicates the function of each fuse. If the diagram is not on the panel, you can refer to the owner's manual for the vehicle to find it. Once you identify the fuse you need to check or replace, simply pull it out. A good fuse will have a thin strip of metal connecting the two elevated sections. If this strip is broken, the fuse is faulty and needs to be replaced. If the metal strip is intact, the fuse is still functional and can be reinserted. New fuses are typically inexpensive, around 10 dollars each.
