The coolant temperature sensor in a Honda CR-V can be found at the lower part of the radiator, slightly towards the right. To replace it, you will first need to drain the coolant from the engine. The drain petcock is located at the bottom center of the radiator. Place a container beneath the radiator to catch the fluid. There are various push connectors and 15-millimeter bolts to deal with. Start by removing the plastic connectors, using a flat blade screwdriver or a specialized tool. When removing the metal bolts, you may encounter the bracket spinning along with the bolt. To prevent this, try holding the bracket in place with your fingers behind the plastic shield. Once the shield is removed, locate the sensor between the engine and the radiator.
