The 2014 Ford Explorer has a thermostat that is easily accessible, located on the driver's side of the engine bay. To locate it, stand in front of your vehicle, use the prop arm on the passenger side to secure the hood open, and then look along the intake manifold following the hose from the radiator. The thermostat is mounted on the hose in that area. If the thermostat is not functioning properly, you may notice your engine overheating. Replacing the thermostat will cost between $50 and $185 for parts only.
