In 2014, the Nissan Sentra features a throttle position sensor located on the butterfly spindle, or shaft, to keep track of the throttle position. If this sensor malfunctions, it will need to be swapped out for a new one. You can purchase a replacement from an auto parts store or a mechanic for around $34 to $89. If you opt for a mechanic to install it, you can expect to pay an extra $60 to $125 for labor.
The throttle position sensor for the 2014 Nissan Sentra can be found on the throttle body of the car.
