The 2013 Chevy Malibu lacks an interior trunk release button. To open the trunk, exit the car and go to the back. Locate the center third brake light on the trunk door, which has a black button on its right side. Press this button to lift the trunk. The trunk's cargo volume is 16.3 cubic feet, smaller than other cars, but sufficient for a full grocery load.
On the truck itself, directly beneath the light. It may not be immediately visible, but you'll sense it. Just make sure the doors are unlocked before trying to open them.
