The MAF sensor on a 2006 Honda CR-V is located between the alternator and air compressor, just in front of the air filter housing. Before removing it, be sure to connect the negative battery terminal and then use a flat head screwdriver to open the red safety tab. This sensor can cause issues such as rough idling, decreased engine power, and lower fuel efficiency. To troubleshoot, check the MAF indicator, connectors, and wiring for shorts or corrosion, as well as inspect vacuum hoses for leaks or disconnections.
