The oil filter for the Dodge Ram 1500 is located on the lower front passenger side of the engine bay. While it may seem a bit tricky to locate, you can find it easily with just a few minutes of your time. Begin by opening the hood of your truck and securing it in place with the prop arm situated on the right side of the engine bay. Look into the engine compartment on the passenger side where you'll spot the oil filter positioned just above the front axle. If the filter appears dirty or clogged, it will require replacement, which may cost you between $15 and $88 for the parts alone.
