The 2016 Jeep Wrangler uses Prestone Concentrate Antifreeze and Coolant 1gal. If you need to change the coolant in the vehicle, start by popping the hood and locating the radiator at the front of the engine compartment. Attached to the radiator is a clear or black plastic container known as the coolant reservoir, which has a drain plug, a fill plug, and a dipstick. You can check the coolant level using the dipstick and add more if needed. To flush the system, open the drain plug and let the fluid flow into a bucket, adding water to aid the process. Once the water runs clear, close the drain plug, refill the container to the designated line, and replace the cap.

In 2016, the Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (JKU) requires Mopar OAT antifreeze exclusively for optimal performance. It may seem costly, but it's a worthwhile investment to protect your engine. Never mix it with HOAT antifreeze as it can cause serious damage to your vehicle's engine.

The 2016 Jeep Wrangler is equipped with Zerex - G0 full-strength concentrated antifreeze/coolant for the radiator.
